- ATEC - Global Databases
- ATEC is a sophisticated proprietary data retrieval and processing software package
which, when installed with PTM Consulting Group's refining, petrochemical feedstocks
and petrochemical industry information bases, provides clients with a complete in-house
multi-user access data base system.

- ATEC.NET - Global Interactive
Databases via Web
- The ATEC system is available on the Internet and full access to
ATEC.NET enables clients to enter the following areas:
- Historical and Projected SD balances at a country level
- Monthly updated capacity database (including data on ownership,
location, capacity, technology and licensor)
- Monthly updated market prices for the following regions: US Gulf,
Latin America, Europe, Middle East, China, NE Asia, SE Asia (*)
- Monthly updated trade statistics (*)
- Quarterly updates of production, trade and demand (*)
- Quarterly revision of projected global supply demand balance (*)
(*) currently available for 30 key products but is being
expanded.
- The database covers the energy, NGL, refining, petrochemical and
polymer sectors and output can be generated both in tabular or graphic
formats from the interactive ATEC menu. The database covers an
historical period from 1980 through to the current year and a projected
period out to 2030.
-
- In addition clients have direct access to two modeling systems:
- GEMS (Global Economics Modeling System) which allows the
construction of cost curves built from individual manufacturing units.
Details of comparison net feedstock costs, variable and fixed costs
are tabulated and a graphics package allows the client to plot
individual cost components.
- GPCA (Global Petrochemical Analysis) which allows a comparison of
the competitiveness and profitability of regional steam cracker and/or
integrated steam cracker complexes and/or stand alone derivative units
-
The supporting database for both GEMS and GPCA is
updated monthly and can be edited by the client to model individual
sites and/or projects.
Subscribers to ATEC.NET may also have indirect
access to a series of linear programming models that allow optimization
of refinery and/or petrochemical complexes. Optimization can be based on
feed, manufacturing/processing/conversion units within the complex or
the required product output mix.
Client access to ATEC is available on a yearly
subscription which is related to the database coverage and functionality
required

- GEMS
- Manufacturing cost comparisons are an integral part of market analysis. In particular,
to evaluate a competitive position and to benchmark alternative sources of supply in
different regions it is necessary to construct a supply cost curve. To aid this type of
analysis, PTM Consulting Group have developed a manufacturing cost model which is
linked to an extended data base containing all necessary input parameters.

|
- REFTECH - Refining Optimization and Analysis
- RECTECH a sophisticated refinery modeling tool that allows an
optimization of refining configuration; crude feed flexibility evaluation and margin
analysis. REFTECH utilizes databases common to ATEC and GEMS and is fully compatible with
these services.
